Terms of Use

1. Definitions and Interpretation

1.1 In these Terms, the following definitions apply:

• "Applicable Law" means all applicable laws, statutes, regulations, codes of practice and regulatory requirements.
• "Content" means all text, images, data, software, information and materials made available on or through the Platform.
• "Event" means any event listed on the Platform.
• "Fees" means all platform fees, service fees or other charges payable to PlusOne.
• "Host" means a third-party individual or entity that organises and operates an Event.
• "PlusOne Organised Event" means an Event expressly identified as organised by PlusOne.
• "Services" means the event marketplace, ticketing, payment facilitation and related services provided via the Platform.
• "User", "you" or "your" means any person who accesses or uses the Platform.

1.2 Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.

2. About Us

2.1 PlusOne operates an online event marketplace and ticketing platform.

2.2 Unless an Event is expressly identified as a PlusOne-Organised Event:

• (a) the Event is organised, operated and delivered by an independent Host;
• (b) PlusOne does not organise, operate, supervise or control the Event; and
• (c) PlusOne acts solely as a commercial agent providing the Services to Hosts and Users.

2.3 For PlusOne-Organised Events only, PlusOne acts as the event organiser and merchant of record.

2.4 Nothing in these Terms creates any partnership, joint venture, fiduciary, employment or agency relationship between you and PlusOne other than as expressly stated.

3. Licence to Use the Platform

3.1 PlusOne grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use:

• (a) the PlusOne mobile application software (the "App"), including any updates or supplements;
• (b) the event discovery, ticketing and related Services made available via the App; and
• (c) the website located at https://myplusonesocial.com and any Content made available through it (the "Website"),

in each case solely for your personal, non-commercial use and subject to compliance with these Terms and all Applicable Law.

3.2 Except as expressly permitted under clause 3.1, you must not:

• (a) copy, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate or create derivative works from the App, Services or Website;
• (b) distribute, sell, sublicense, rent, lease or otherwise make the App, Services or Website available to any third party;
• (c) reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the App or any part of the Services, except to the extent permitted by Applicable Law; or
• (d) use the App, Services or Website in any manner that is unlawful or inconsistent with these Terms.

3.3 All rights not expressly granted under this clause are reserved by PlusOne.

4. Eligibility and Account Registration

Events listed on the Platform are intended for users aged 18 and over. PlusOne may require proof of age where reasonably necessary.

4.1 You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Platform or attend events listed on the Platform.

4.2 Users may browse events without creating an account. An account is required in order to purchase tickets or access certain features of the Platform.

4.3 When creating an account, you must provide accurate and complete information, including your name, date of birth, email address and phone number.

4.4 We may use phone number verification, including one-time passcode (OTP) authentication, to confirm your identity.

4.5 By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that:

• (a) you are at least 18 years old;
• (b) you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract; and
• (c) all information you provide is accurate and not misleading.

4.6 PlusOne reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the Platform where eligibility requirements are not met.

5. User Accounts and Security

5.1 Certain features of the Platform require you to create an account, including purchasing tickets and accessing event-related features.

5.2 You are responsible for:

• (a) keeping your account information accurate;
• (b) maintaining the security of your login credentials;
• (c) all activity carried out through your account.

5.3 PlusOne may use phone number verification or other authentication methods to protect user accounts.

5.4 PlusOne shall not be liable for any loss arising from unauthorised use of your account where you have failed to keep your login details secure.

5.5 After creating an account, you may choose to provide additional profile information, including photos, preferences and other optional details. Providing this information is voluntary but may enable additional features of the Platform.

6. Events, Tickets and Fees

6.1 When you purchase a ticket for an Event that is not a PlusOne-Organised Event, you enter into a direct contractual relationship with the Host.

6.2 PlusOne acts as a commercial agent facilitating ticket sales and payments on behalf of Hosts.

6.3 PlusOne charges Fees as consideration for providing access to the Platform and Services.

6.4 For the avoidance of doubt, all Fees are non-refundable in all circumstances, including where an Event is cancelled, rescheduled, materially altered, or affected by force majeure.

7. Refunds and Cancellations

7.1 Hosts determine their own refund policies for change-of-mind cancellations.

7.2 Where an Event is cancelled or materially changed, Users may be entitled to a refund of the ticket price in accordance with Applicable Law and the Host's obligations.

7.3 Fees charged by PlusOne remain non-refundable.

7.4 Further details are set out in the Purchase & Ticketing Terms, which form part of these Terms.

8. User Conduct

8.1 You must not:

• (a) engage in harassment, intimidation, discrimination or abusive behaviour;
• (b) engage in unwanted or inappropriate conduct;
• (c) misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person;
• (d) disrupt Events or endanger others; or
• (e) use the Platform for unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purposes.

8.2 This list is non-exhaustive.

9. Suspension, Removal and Enforcement

9.1 PlusOne may, at its sole discretion and without liability:

• (a) suspend, restrict or terminate your access to the Platform;
• (b) remove you from any Event; and/or
• (c) remove or delist Events or Hosts.

9.2 Such action may be taken with or without notice where PlusOne reasonably believes that:

• (a) these Terms or Applicable Law have been breached; or
• (b) your conduct poses a risk to Users, Hosts or the Platform.

9.3 Where removal is due to misconduct, no refunds shall be issued.

10. Social and Dating Disclaimer

10.1 PlusOne does not guarantee matches, chemistry, relationships or social outcomes.

10.2 PlusOne is not responsible for interactions between Users, whether occurring at Events or otherwise.

10.3 Attendance at Events is undertaken at your own discretion and risk.

11. Identity Verification

11.1 PlusOne may offer optional identity verification through a third-party provider (currently Entrust, formerly known as Onfido).

11.2 Verification is optional but may be required for certain features or events.

11.3 PlusOne receives verification status only and does not store video selfies, identity documents or biometric data.

11.4 The verification provider may process personal data in accordance with its own terms and privacy policies.

12. Availability and Errors

12.1 PlusOne does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Platform.

12.2 PlusOne reserves the right to correct errors, inaccuracies or omissions and to cancel transactions affected by such errors.

13. Photography and Video

13.1 Events listed on the Platform may involve photography, video recording or other media capture by hosts, attendees or PlusOne.

13.2 By attending an Event, you acknowledge that photographs or recordings may be taken in which you may appear.

13.3 Such media may be used for event promotion, marketing, social media, or documentation of the Event.

13.4 If you do not wish to appear in photographs or recordings, you should inform the event host or a member of the PlusOne team at the Event.

13.5 PlusOne is not responsible for photography or recording carried out by independent Hosts or attendees.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

14.1 Except as expressly stated, the Platform and Services are provided "as is" and "as available".

14.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, all implied warranties, representations and conditions are excluded.

15. Limitation of Liability

15.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, PlusOne shall not be liable for:

• (a) Events organised by Hosts;
• (b) acts or omissions of Hosts or Users;
• (c) loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill; or
• (d) indirect, consequential or special losses.

15.2 Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.

16. Indemnity

16.1 You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PlusOne from and against any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses arising from:

• (a) your use of the Platform;
• (b) your breach of these Terms; or
• (c) your conduct in connection with any Event.

17. Force Majeure

17.1 PlusOne shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance resulting from events beyond its reasonable control, including (without limitation) acts of God, pandemics, government action, strikes, venue closures or technical failures.

18. Termination

18.1 You may request deletion of your account at any time.

18.2 PlusOne may retain certain information where required by Applicable Law, as set out in the Privacy Policy.

19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

19.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

19.2 The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
