Purchase Terms

These Purchase Terms ("Ticketing Terms") apply to all ticket purchases made through the PlusOne website or mobile applications (together, the "Platform").
These Ticketing Terms form part of, and must be read together with, the Terms of Use. In the event of any conflict, these Ticketing Terms shall prevail in relation to ticket purchases.
1. Definitions and Interpretation
1.1 Capitalised terms not defined in these Ticketing Terms have the meanings given to them in the Terms of Use.
1.2 In these Ticketing Terms:
- "Booking" means the purchase of one or more tickets through the Platform.
- "Event" means any event listed on the Platform.
- "Fees" means platform or service fees charged by PlusOne to users in connection with ticket purchases.
- "Host" means the independent organiser of an Event.
- "Ticket Price" means the price set by the Host for attendance at an Event, excluding Fees.
2. Who Sells the Ticket
2.1 Unless an Event is expressly identified as a PlusOne Organised Event:
- (a) tickets are sold by the Host, not by PlusOne;
- (b) the Host is the merchant of record; and
- (c) PlusOne acts solely as a commercial agent facilitating ticket sales and payments on behalf of the Host.
2.2 For PlusOne-Organised Events only, PlusOne acts as the event organiser and merchant of record.
3. Account Requirement
3.1 Users may browse events without creating an account.
3.2 An account is required in order to purchase tickets or access certain features of the Platform.
3.3 When creating an account, you must provide accurate information, including your name, date of birth, email address and phone number.
3.4 Tickets may only be purchased by users aged 18 or over.
4. Ticket Purchase and Payment Processing
4.1 Payments for tickets are processed through a third-party payment service provider, currently Stripe.
4.2 By completing a Booking, you authorise PlusOne to:
- (a) collect the Ticket Price on behalf of the Host;
- (b) collect Fees payable to PlusOne; and
- (c) process the transaction via Stripe.
4.3 PlusOne does not store full payment card details.
4.4 Payment processing may be subject to Stripe's terms and verification requirements.
5. Platform Fees
5.1 PlusOne charges Fees to users purchasing tickets via the Platform in consideration for providing the Platform, ticketing infrastructure and related services.
5.2 Fees are displayed at checkout before payment is completed.
5.3 Fees are earned at the point of ticket purchase.
5.4 Fees are non-refundable in all circumstances, including where:
- (a) an Event is cancelled;
- (b) an Event is rescheduled or changed;
- (c) a refund of the Ticket Price is issued; or
- (d) a user is removed from an Event for breach of the Terms of Use.
6. Pricing Errors and Corrections
6.1 While PlusOne takes reasonable care to ensure accuracy, pricing or listing errors may occur.
6.2 PlusOne reserves the right to:
- (a) correct any errors or inaccuracies;
- (b) cancel or reverse transactions affected by such errors; and
- (c) issue refunds of the Ticket Price where required.
6.3 Fees remain non-refundable in accordance with clause 5.
7. Refunds and Cancellations
7.1 Each Host determines their own refund policy, which will be displayed before you complete your Booking.
7.2 Where an Event is cancelled or materially changed, the Host is responsible for refunding the Ticket Price in accordance with applicable law.
7.3 Fees charged by PlusOne are non-refundable.
7.4 PlusOne is not responsible for funding refunds issued by Hosts.
8. No-Shows and Late Arrival
8.1 No refunds shall be issued for:
- (a) failure to attend an Event; or
- (b) late arrival.
8.2 Admission to Events is at the Host's discretion and subject to venue rules.
9. Removal for Misconduct
9.1 Where you are removed from an Event due to:
- (a) breach of the Terms of Use;
- (b) breach of Host rules and community guidelines; or
- (c) unsafe, disruptive or inappropriate behaviour,
you shall not be entitled to any refund of the Ticket Price or Fees.
10. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
10.1 If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute:
- (a) PlusOne may suspend or restrict your account while the matter is investigated;
- (b) PlusOne may require you to resolve the dispute directly with the Host; and
- (c) unjustified or abusive chargebacks may result in account termination.
10.2 Chargebacks do not override these Ticketing Terms or the Host's refund policy.
11. Responsibility for Events
11.1 Unless expressly stated otherwise, Events are organised and operated by independent Hosts.
11.2 When you purchase a ticket, you enter into a contract with the Host.
11.3 PlusOne acts as a commercial agent providing the Platform and ticketing services.
11.4 PlusOne is not responsible for the organisation, safety, quality or delivery of Events hosted by third parties.
11.5 Events listed on the Platform are intended for users aged 18 and over.
11.6 PlusOne may require proof of age where reasonably necessary.
12. Taxes
12.1 Hosts are solely responsible for determining and accounting for any applicable taxes, including VAT.
12.2 PlusOne does not provide tax advice.
13. Limitation of Liability
13.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, PlusOne shall not be liable for any losses arising from or in connection with ticket purchases, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
14. Changes to These Ticketing Terms
14.1 PlusOne may amend these Ticketing Terms from time to time.
14.2 The version in force at the time of your Booking will apply to that Booking.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
15.1 These Ticketing Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
15.2 The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
